Now Judah's rulers are named. They are like them that remove the bound, those who secretly shift a neighbor's boundary stone to steal land, an act the law expressly forbids. By overstepping the limits God had set, the princes show their contempt for His order. The response is judgment poured out like water, an overwhelming flood that cannot be held back.
To move a boundary is to take what is not yours and to deny that any line was ever drawn. It pictures every overreach that treats God's limits as suggestions.
