What Does Job 24:10 Mean?
Job again describes the poor laborer, sent away naked and robbed of the sheaf he himself has bound. He works the harvest yet is denied even a portion of the grain, made to go hungry beside the very bundles his hands have gathered. The injustice is doubled: stripped of clothing and stripped of food.
There is something profoundly wrong in a world where those who produce the bread cannot eat it. Job lays this contradiction before God as a grief crying for redress. Yet Scripture promises that the Lord will satisfy the hungry with good things and that the laborer is worthy of his bread.
