What Does Job 26:13 Mean?
Job lifts his eyes once more to the sky, now seen as a thing God has beautified and arranged by His Spirit. He adds that the same hand made the gliding serpent, another image of the untamed powers of the deep.
Both the splendor above and the wild forces below are the work of one Maker. Nothing exists that He did not form, and nothing escapes His ordering hand. The breath of God that garnished the heavens is the same Spirit that moved upon the face of the waters in the beginning (Genesis 1:2), bringing beauty out of the deep.
