What Does Job 28:13 Mean?
Job answers his own question first by saying where wisdom is not. People do not even know its price, for it has no equal among the things they buy and sell. And it cannot be located anywhere in the land of the living, in all the realm of human searching and commerce.
The point is humbling. Wisdom is so far above human valuation that we cannot name a price for it, and so hidden that no place on earth holds it for the taking. This is not despair but redirection.
