What Does Job 7:15 Mean?
Crushed by sleepless pain and terrifying nights, Job reaches the lowest point of his lament: his soul would sooner choose death than go on with a life like this. The words are stark and unguarded.
Scripture does not flinch from recording such depths of despair, and in doing so it tells every sufferer that they are not alone and not beyond God's hearing. Job speaks these words to God, not away from Him. The Lord receives even our darkest cries, and the believer trusts that the God of life can meet us at the very edge where life itself feels unbearable, and draw us back toward hope.
