Romans is a long letter a man named Paul wrote to God's family far away in a city called Rome. He wanted to help them love God and love each other.
Today's Story
Paul could not visit his friends in Rome, so he did the next best thing. He picked up his pen and wrote them a long, warm letter. “I can't wait to see you,” he told them. “I pray for you all the time.”
Right at the start, Paul shared something wonderful. He said you can learn a lot about God just by looking around outside.
Think about it. Have you ever watched the sun come up, all pink and gold? Have you stood under the stars at night and tried to count them? Have you held a tiny ladybug on your finger, or felt the rain on your face?
Paul says God made all of it. And every bit of it tells us something true about Him. The big mountains whisper that God is strong. The wide ocean shows He is huge. The little flowers show He loves to make things lovely.
“Ever since God made the world,” Paul wrote, “people can see what He is like by the things He has made.”
God did not hide. He left His fingerprints all over the world, so that anyone who looks can begin to know Him.
A Big Word
Memory Verse
Talk About It
- What is one thing you saw outside today — a cloud, a bug, a tree? What does it tell you about the God who made it?
- If a friend had never heard of God, what part of the world would you show them first?
- Paul says God is strong, and big, and loves beautiful things. Which of those do you see most when you look around?
