What Does Luke 14:15 Mean?
The mention of the resurrection stirs one of the guests to a devout exclamation, picturing the great feast of the age to come (Isaiah 25:6). The saying is true and beautiful — and comfortably distant. Blessing someone who will eat bread in the kingdom someday asks nothing of anyone tonight.
