What Does Mark 8:22 Mean?
The boat lands at Bethsaida, a fishing town at the north end of the lake and the home town of Peter, Andrew, and Philip. As so often in Mark, friends do the carrying and the asking: they bring the blind man to Jesus and beg him simply to touch him.
The man arrives on borrowed faith. He cannot find Jesus by sight, so others become his eyes and his voice — a picture of intercession at its simplest, bringing a person to Christ when that person cannot make the way alone.
