Proverbs 19:3 Meaning and Explanation

The verse describes a cycle of self-deception: a person acts foolishly, his path becomes crooked and difficult, and instead of recognizing his own error, he grows angry at God. 'Perverteth his way' shows how the fool distorts his own path through unwise choices. Then, facing the consequences, he 'frets'—literally chafes or is agitated—toward the Lord, as though God were the problem.
