What Does Romans 3:27 Mean?
With salvation revealed as God's gift, Paul asks what becomes of human boasting. The answer is swift: it is excluded, ruled out entirely. Not by a system of works, where one might take credit, but by the principle of faith, which receives what God gives, there is simply no place left to boast.
Boasting dies wherever grace reigns. If our standing before God is a gift received by trust, then no one can stand taller than another or claim a reward they earned.
