This is the final verse of Jude, completing the doxology that closes the letter. After confronting false teaching and calling believers to faithfulness, Jude ends not with fear but with worship and praise to God.
What Does Jude 1:25 Mean?
Jude 1:25 means that all glory, majesty, dominion, and power belong to God our Saviour, both now and throughout all eternity. This is the final note of Jude's doxology and the close of his letter -- a great upward burst of praise after all the warnings and exhortations. Having pointed to the God who is able to keep and to present His people faultless (v. 24), Jude now gives that God the honor due His name. The verse piles up words of greatness because no single word can hold what God deserves.
He is "the only wise God," the sole source of true wisdom, and "our Saviour," the One who rescues. To Him belong "glory" (the weight of His splendor), "majesty" (His exalted greatness), "dominion" (His rightful rule), and "power" (His unlimited might) -- and these belong to Him "both now and ever," past, present, and unending future. The closing "Amen" is the reader's own voice joining in: so let it be, and so it is. A letter that began with concern over deception ends with the heart at rest in the unshakable greatness of God.
