    Peter says the false teachers deny the Lord that bought them . This is extraordinary. Even as they reject Christ, they cannot escape the fact that He paid for them. The redemption was purchased and real, whether they acknowledge it or not.     At the Last Supper, Jesus said, "If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again" (John 14:3). To His disciples He promised: "You will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of power and coming on the clouds of heaven" (Matt. 26:64). The promise is personal. The coming is real. Not some invisible spiritual event, but His visible arrival.
