Emmanuel Lutheran Church

About this church

Emmanuel Lutheran Church is a Fayetteville congregation founded in 2015 after local Lutheran Christians gathered to pray and explore starting a new church. Its mission is to love God and love people by living as disciples who worship, pray, learn, mentor, serve, give, and invite. Sunday worship and Communion are rooted in traditional liturgy while drawing on both traditional and contemporary music. The congregation describes itself honestly as sinners maturing as disciples while helping others discover the beauty of following Christ.

Sunday worship begins at 9:00 a.m. in person and online, with fellowship and Bible study afterward. Children remain part of the congregation and are invited to a special worship setting during the Word and sermon portion. Online worship supports people who are traveling, homebound, or otherwise unable to gather without treating the church as limited by geography. The first Emmanuel service was celebrated February 9, 2015, and the current community continues the same emphasis on shared life and mission. Because fellowship and Bible study follow worship without a separately published clock time, visitors should plan for the 9:00 service first and ask on arrival where the post-service groups meet.
