St. Peter Restoration Community Christian Ministries

About this church

St. Peter Restoration Community Christian Ministries in Bakersfield is a Missionary Baptist congregation that worships Sundays at 10:15 a.m. on East Brundage Lane, with Sunday School at 9 a.m. The church was organized in 1951 as St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church, adopted its current name in 1993 while remaining Missionary Baptist, and moved into its Brundage Lane sanctuary in 1995. Sunday services are streamed live for those who cannot attend in person. The church states its mission as helping people find real life in Christ.

During the week, a prayer gathering meets Wednesdays at noon, and Bible studies run on Monday and Wednesday evenings, including studies of individual books of the Bible, a youth Bible study and a children's Bible study. Adult small groups meet on the second and fourth Wednesdays, and a young adult group gathers monthly on a Saturday. Sunday School classes, held online by video conference, are organized for young children, elementary, middle and high school students and several adult age groups, and a class series introduces new members to the church. Other ministries include youth fellowship events and lock-ins, adult, youth and children's choirs, women's and brotherhood ministries, ushers and a scholarship committee that helps students with financial aid and applications. The office is open weekdays; confirm current times on the website or at (661) 323-3469.
