Claremont United Church of Christ

About this church

Claremont United Church of Christ holds Sunday worship at 10 a.m. Pacific time in the sanctuary and online. On the first Sunday of each month, Brunch Church follows at 11:15, adding a meal-centered gathering to the normal worship rhythm. The congregation's mission emphasizes listening for God's continuing voice, welcoming people without exception, celebrating God in worship, and pursuing peace, love, grace, and justice. Sermon podcasts and bulletins provide useful ways to preview that theological and liturgical character.

Children and youth have dedicated programming, including childcare and Sunday school, while the larger congregation joins service projects and social-action work throughout the year. Local efforts include food collections, hunger walks, letter-writing campaigns, and a Community Food Market held on the last Sunday of each month. The market offers produce, canned goods, baked foods, and other groceries free and anonymously to church families and the wider public. Visitors seeking a progressive UCC congregation in Claremont can expect hybrid worship, an explicit inclusive welcome, family programs, and sustained community advocacy. Check the calendar when a first or last Sunday overlaps with a holiday, because brunch and market activities add to the standard schedule.
