St Ambrose Episcopal Church

About this church

St Ambrose Episcopal Church is an inclusive Anglican community serving Claremont. Its currently published summer schedule places Sunday worship at 9:00 a.m.; because that time is seasonal, visitors should confirm the post-summer schedule before attending. A Wednesday service at 10:00 a.m. combines healing prayer with Holy Eucharist. The parish's roots reach to 1951, and the present church was built in 1956, giving worship a mid-century local setting marked by its stained-glass cross and decades of congregational life.

St Ambrose's Shower Program is one of its most concrete neighborhood ministries. Twice each week, the church provides showers, meals, conversation, and occasional medical support to unhoused neighbors, reporting service to roughly 65 people in a typical week. The effort grew from Laundry Love work begun in 2014 and now forms a substantial part of the parish's community presence. St Ambrose also participates in interfaith relationships, consistent with its emphasis on welcome. Someone choosing this church can expect Episcopal sacramental worship alongside hands-on care that uses the church property during the week. Check the official worship page for seasonal Sunday times and the latest information about participating in outreach.
