First Baptist Church of Coronado

About this church

First Baptist Church of Coronado gathers for Sunday worship at 10 a.m., with adult Bible study beginning at 8:45. The congregation describes its doctrine as biblical, its dress as casual, and its welcome as genuine. During worship, children initially join their families and then may leave for Hang10, a program for ages four through fifth grade featuring music, movement, prayer, a snack, and Bible teaching. Childcare is available for age three and younger. The public site does not give the service's usual length, musical style, livestream availability, or parking guidance.

Founded in 1951 and now affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention, First Baptist has served both military and civilian residents of Coronado. Its mission emphasizes authentic worship, prayer, biblical instruction, fellowship, ministry participation, and the conviction that each believer is called to mission. Beliefs include baptism by immersion after profession of faith and the Lord's Supper as the church's two ordinances. Men's, women's, children's, financial-learning, and other ministries provide ways to connect beyond Sunday. Because the ministry page does not describe children's check-in, accessibility, or Communion frequency, families and guests with specific needs should call during the published weekday office hours.
