Saint Stephen's Episcopal Church

About this church

Saint Stephen’s Episcopal Church is a Gilroy parish welcoming people who come with established faith, questions, a desire for friendship, or an interest in serving neighbors. Holy Communion, a children’s sermon, Bible study, healing prayer, fellowship meals, and a resource center support spiritual and practical care. The resource center provides food, clothing, and mail service to people in need.

Sunday spiritual Communion meets on Zoom at 8:00 a.m., and in-person Holy Communion with music and a children’s sermon begins at 10:30. The calendar sometimes cancels the Zoom service during clergy travel, so remote worshipers should check the current Sunday notice. Bible study meets Wednesday at 10:30 both in person and online, followed by an in-person healing Eucharist at noon with prayers, anointing, and laying on of hands. A parish luncheon generally follows Sunday worship around 11:45. The resource center opens Thursday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.; those are assistance hours, not worship. Daughters of the King meets on the first Saturday at 9:00, and the vestry on the third Sunday at 12:30. The 10:30 service is the most stable first visit.
