First Evangelical Church

About this church

First Evangelical Church of Glendale is a multilingual congregation with English and Cantonese worship at 9:30 a.m. and Mandarin worship at 11:30. Youth worship meets at 9:30 on the first and third Sundays in the auxiliary chapel, followed by Sunday School at 11:00. The church’s ministries are designed for whole families across English, Cantonese, and Mandarin communities, with preaching, teaching, care, fellowship, and outreach available across generations.

Children from preschool through fifth grade meet in the separate Children’s Ministries Center. The main visitor page publishes 9:30 for children, while the dedicated children’s page lists a 10:00–10:50 service and 11:10 lesson; families should confirm the current check-in time before visiting. Youth fellowship meets Fridays at 7:30 p.m. Onsite parking is limited, and the church recommends arriving early; additional street parking is often available west along Broadway and north on Wilson and Kenilworth avenues. First Evangelical is at 522 West Broadway. Visitors should choose a language service first, then allow extra time to locate the appropriate family building or tandem parking space.
