Calvary Chapel of Gridley

About this church

Calvary Chapel of Gridley meets at 210 Park Street with two Sunday morning services, from 9 to 10:15 a.m. and from 10:30 to 11:50, plus a Thursday evening gathering from 7 to 8:30. The congregation's history describes years of worship in Gridley's Woman's Hall before purchasing the Park Street building in 1990. That account also highlights the long teaching ministry of Pastor Bob Henderson, who began leading the church in 1986. Recorded teaching and live-stream support are part of the current media ministry, reflecting the Calvary Chapel emphasis on making Bible instruction readily accessible.

Students in grades six through twelve meet on the first and third Sundays from 6 to 7:30 p.m., a twice-monthly rhythm worth noting when planning a visit. Local care includes the Love Thy Neighbor food ministry, which prepares grocery bags for people needing additional help. Farther afield, the church has developed an ongoing relationship with an orphanage near Ensenada through summer trips to Rancho Genesis, where participants pair with children and help with practical projects. These ministries give visitors a clearer picture than the schedule alone: this is a congregation combining weekly Bible teaching with hands-on food assistance, youth formation, media service, and recurring cross-border mission work.
