About this church
The Sunday service at Long Beach Christian Reformed Church begins at 9:30 a.m. at 5559 East Wardlow Road. The current homepage announces outdoor summer worship on the lawn at the same hour and asks guests to bring a chair or use one provided; the contact page still describes worship in the sanctuary, so visitors should check the weekly bulletin for that Sunday's setting. Nursery care serves infants through age three, and Children's Church serves children from age three through second grade. Sunday School for all ages begins at 10:45 from September through May.
The congregation describes its mission as making new and better disciples of Jesus and organizes growth in three directions: engagement with God, God's family, and God's world. Worship lasts about an hour and blends contemporary and traditional music. Children's and youth formation includes Sunday School from age three through twelfth grade, with other student opportunities following their own seasonal calendars. Adults can join education, small groups, service, and fellowship. The beliefs page places the church within historic Christianity and the Reformed tradition, while deacons connect members with neighboring churches, Christian-service organizations, and local agencies. A first-time guest can plan around the stable 9:30 hour but should verify lawn versus sanctuary during summer. Families seeking the 10:45 education hour should remember that it pauses outside September through May, even though worship continues year-round.
