St. Joseph Catholic Church

About this church

St. Joseph Catholic Church is a Long Beach parish committed to the gospel, Roman Catholic tradition, sacramental worship, formation, hospitality, and service to a diverse community. Children’s, middle-school, high-school, and confirmation programs accompany families across developmental stages, while parish ministries encourage involvement beyond Mass. Sunday hospitality after the early Mass creates an informal opportunity to meet parishioners.

Saturday Vigil Mass begins at 5:00 p.m. Sunday Masses are offered at 8:30 a.m. outdoors on the grass and at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. inside the church. Daily Mass meets Monday through Wednesday at 8:00 a.m. Elementary formation for grades one through five runs September through May on Sunday from 10:30 to 11:15, while grades six through eight meet from 10:00 to 11:15 in the Parish Life Center. Those class times overlap the 10:30 Mass differently, so families should follow program check-in guidance rather than assume all ages share one schedule. Hospitality follows the 8:30 Sunday Mass. Outdoor worship may be affected by weather, and the live Mass-times page should be checked for holy days, funerals, and seasonal changes.
