Presbyterian Church of Novato

About this church

Presbyterian Church of Novato meets at 710 Wilson Avenue for Sunday worship from 10 to 11:15 a.m., both in person and online. Music is unusually varied for one service: a praise band, choir, and handbell choir all contribute, with musicians rehearsing during the week. Communion is served on the first Sunday of each month, and coffee and treats follow worship. PCN describes its vision as becoming a beacon of hope that revives the world through God's love, expressed through sharing Jesus, connecting with neighbors, and growing together in worship, faith, and service.

Children from nursery age through middle school begin with the congregation for the first fifteen minutes. After the children's sermon, they are dismissed to Sunday School while adults continue worship, letting families share the service's opening rather than separating immediately. The church's welcome is explicitly inclusive and affirming across race, ethnicity, age, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, location, and theological difference, promising full participation in worship, governance, and community life. Its service projects provide a practical expression of that welcome; a recent meal-packing event brought 35 volunteers together to prepare more than 10,000 meals, pushing the congregation's cumulative total beyond 100,000.
