United Methodist Church of Palm Springs

About this church

United Methodist Church of Palm Springs holds Sunday worship at 10:00 a.m. in its sanctuary and livestreams the same service on YouTube. Music includes chancel choir, handbells, and individual or small-group performances; the choir sings varied hymn arrangements, classical anthems, and spirituals, while the handbell ensemble performs from September through May. The church's stated aim is to connect and make a difference, and its online worship page invites remote participants into conversation rather than treating the stream only as a recording.

The congregation describes “all means all” as central to its hospitality and is explicit about full LGBTQ+ inclusion. Its Rainbow Ministry includes spiritual-growth, social, and service initiatives created by and for queer people of faith. Community work also includes backpack collections for local students and Jam & Joy, which pairs lunch for neighbors experiencing food insecurity with live music and conversation. Those programs locate the church firmly in Palm Springs rather than offering generic denominational language. Visitors can expect one shared service, a broad musical program, online access, and a congregation that connects Methodist community life with LGBTQ+ belonging, food-related outreach, and local civic engagement.
