The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - Altisima Ward, Rancho Santa Margarita

About this church

The Altisima Ward meetinghouse of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is located at 29441 Altisima in Rancho Santa Margarita, California, one of three buildings the directory lists in the city. The nearest other meetinghouse is about 1.6 miles away, and this building includes a wheelchair-accessible entrance, parking lot, restroom, and seating.

Three congregations share the building: the Altisima Ward at 9 a.m., the Mission Lake Ward at 10:30 a.m., and the Foothill Ranch Ward at 12:35 p.m. Membership is assigned by neighborhood, which is why several congregations share this same building across the day. A sacrament meeting takes roughly sixty minutes, with hymns, prayers, the sacrament of bread and water, and talks by members of the congregation, followed by a second hour of classes, Primary included for children. None of the three charges admission, and there's no collection plate to worry about. Sunday dress is common among members, though a first-time guest can arrive however they like. Because local leaders occasionally adjust this schedule, a quick call ahead of a first visit is a sensible step.
