Christ The King Anglican Church

About this church

Christ the King Anglican Church celebrates Holy Eucharist at 437 West Wilson Avenue in Ridgecrest on Sunday at 10:00 a.m. and Wednesday at noon. Services are also broadcast on Facebook. The first-visit guide explains that worship has two connected movements: Scripture is read and preached, then the congregation responds at the altar through Communion. An easy-to-follow bulletin supplies the words and cues. People may stand, bow, or make the sign of the cross, but visitors are reassured that no one is monitoring whether they copy every action.

Children begin in age-appropriate Children's Church or nursery and return partway through the service to worship with the congregation. The church explicitly welcomes children's voices and provides quiet items for little ones. Its Anglican identity emphasizes faithful preaching of the Word and administration of the sacraments, with additional formation through confession, spiritual direction, prayer, and teaching. Community ministries connect members with local needs such as the women's shelter, community garden, and civic events. For someone unfamiliar with liturgical worship, Christ the King offers more than a time and address: it explains the bulletin, physical gestures, Communion, children's transition into the service, and online recordings, making the ancient structure much easier to enter.
