The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - Wasco

About this church

Wasco, California's meetinghouse of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints sits at 2309 9th Place, the only one in the city; the next-nearest is about 14 miles away, in Delano. Accessible parking sits near a wheelchair-friendly entrance, and the restroom and seating are accessible too.

The Wasco Ward meets every Sunday at 10 a.m. Expect an hour-long sacrament meeting of hymns, prayers, the sacrament of bread and water, and talks from members of the congregation, followed by a second hour of classes for both adults and children. There's no fee to attend, and nothing is collected from those present. Most regulars dress for the occasion, but a first-time visitor is fine in whatever they have on. A brief call ahead is a good idea, as these times are decided locally and can be adjusted from year to year.
