Redemption Hill Church

About this church

Redemption Hill Church in Whittier worships Sundays at 9:15 and 11:00 a.m. Services last about eighty minutes and include three or four songs, a forty- to forty-five-minute sermon, prayer, and Communion once a month. Dress is casual to semicasual, coffee is available, and the church recommends arriving ten minutes early—longer for family check-in. Birth-through-high-school ministry is available at 9:15; the 11:00 service offers care through first grade.

Redemption Kids uses age-specific Bible lessons and practical application. Wednesday Awana runs during a published September-to-May term for preschool through fifth grade, combining Scripture memory with games and everyday discipleship. A children’s garden gives kids hands-on experience with biblical themes and lets them take harvested vegetables home. The church also has longstanding connections with nearby college students and Biola University, integrating students through Life Groups, service, and internships rather than isolating them in a separate Sunday congregation. The church is at 16153 Russell Street. Families with older children should favor 9:15, while Awana participants need term-specific registration.
