Heart of the Rockies Christian Church

About this church

Heart of the Rockies Christian Church opens its Sunday service at 10 a.m.; people may attend onsite or by livestream. The service mixes familiar hymns with contemporary songs led by a praise band, guest musicians, choir, or bell choir. Communion is served every Sunday with grape juice and gluten-free wafers. Children share a brief message and may use the Prayground, a hands-on sacred space inside the sanctuary; staffed nursery care is available for younger children. Fellowship continues in the lobby or outdoors after worship.

Founded in 1993 through the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Heart of the Rockies was formed partly for people disappointed by previous church experiences. It welcomes full membership and leadership across race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, income, ability, family status, and faith history. Children and youth receive affirming, safe-space programming, camps, retreats, and mission experiences. Outreach ranges from one-hour volunteer projects and recurring relationships to justice advocacy, financial support, school supplies, and faith-based housing work. The site does not give nursery ages, check-in procedures, parking guidance, service length, or detailed accessibility routes, so first-time families should contact the church about those needs.
