First United Methodist Church of Boca Raton

About this church

First United Methodist Church of Boca Raton is a congregation called to love God and love people through worship, growth, connection, and service. Its two Sunday styles share Christian teaching while giving visitors a choice between a relaxed band-led gathering and a sanctuary service grounded in hymns and choir. Children, students, adults, year-round ministries, and online worship extend that welcome beyond the main hour.

The contemporary service begins Sunday at 9:30 a.m. in the Gathering Place, with live praise music and an everyday-life message. Children from pre-K3 through fifth grade begin with the congregation, then leave after the opening music for Sunday School. The Noah’s Ark Nursery serves infants through age four. Traditional worship starts at 11:00 in the sanctuary and includes classic hymns, choir, prayer, and preaching. Both services stream live on Facebook. Middle- and high-school youth usually gather Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Youth Center for food, fellowship, and activities, but the word “most” on the official schedule means families should check that week’s calendar. The corrected name below adds Boca Raton, matching the congregation’s own welcome and distinguishing it from other First United Methodist churches.
