St. Joseph's Episcopal Church

About this church

St. Joseph's Episcopal Church in Boynton Beach holds several services each week. On Saturday, contemplative piano music begins at 4:30 p.m. and leads into a 5 p.m. communion and healing service with prayer, candle lighting, and an optional blessing from the priest. Sunday brings a 9:30 a.m. choral communion with organ music and choir, followed by an 11:45 a.m. communion service led by a live band, with readings in contemporary language and a more informal feel. Everyone is invited to receive communion, and grape juice is offered alongside wine at the later service. Services are also streamed on YouTube and Facebook.

Children from pre-K through fifth grade take part in a hands-on Godly Play program during the 9:30 a.m. service and join worship for communion, and nursery care is available on Sunday mornings. Middle and high school students also meet during that service, and a vacation church camp runs each summer. Adults can join centering prayer on Wednesdays at 10 a.m., an introductory Episcopal 101 course, or Cursillo. Other ministries include Daughters of the King, the Brotherhood of St. Andrew, Episcopal Church Women, a handbell choir, and a guitar group. Volunteers help at a partner food pantry in Lake Worth each week. Coffee hour takes place between the two Sunday services. Times can change, so confirm on the website before visiting.
