First Baptist Church DeFuniak Springs

About this church

First Baptist Church DeFuniak Springs worships Sundays at 8:15 and 10:30 a.m., with Sunday School at 9:25 and Wednesday programming at 6 p.m. Services last about an hour and combine a worship team with Bible-based teaching meant for daily application. The visitor page says there is no need to dress up, newcomers will not be singled out or asked to give, and people uncertain about Christian faith may explore at their own pace. A periodic class taught by the senior pastor introduces membership, involvement, and service. The congregation’s mission is to help people find and follow Jesus, with prayer, worship, and service among its stated priorities.

Rooted Kids serves ages four through fifth grade through Sunday Kids Club, Wednesday Bible study, handbells, and choir. Check-in kiosks produce a child name badge and matching parent badge for pickup. Rise Student Ministry meets grades six through twelve Sundays at 9:15 and Wednesdays at 6 using Bible curriculum and discussion. Local mission includes Hearts & Hands Food Pantry, open Fridays from 9 to 11 a.m., plus connections to a preschool, academy, pregnancy support, and radio ministry. Official pages do not distinguish the two Sunday services, state Communion or baptism schedules, name nursery options below age four, describe volunteer screening, parking, accessibility, hearing assistance, or clarify livestream availability.
