Asbury United Methodist Church

About this church

Asbury United Methodist Church in Orange Park gathers for Sunday worship at 10:00 a.m., with an online option for people who cannot attend in person. The congregation traces its roots to a church chartered in 1926 in the Doctors Inlet community; it moved in 1962 and adopted the Asbury name. That history gives today’s single Sunday service a long local context. Visitors can use the church’s worship and calendar pages to preview the service and check for seasonal changes before arriving.

Music is a visible part of Asbury’s weekly life. Adult, children’s, and handbell choirs rehearse on Wednesdays and contribute to worship, creating several avenues for singers and ringers rather than one general music group. Mission also has both local and international expression: the church supports school-related food outreach and maintains a sister-church relationship with Iglesia Príncipe de Paz in Cuba. Children’s and youth ministries offer further points of connection for households. For someone comparing United Methodist congregations in the Orange Park area, Asbury brings together one accessible worship time, livestream participation, intergenerational music, nearly a century of local history, and a continuing Cuba partnership.
