About this church
First Presbyterian Church of Safety Harbor holds its Sunday service at 11 a.m., both in the sanctuary and through Facebook Live. The church is downtown on Second Street South between Fifth and Sixth Avenues. Wednesday includes a bring-your-own-lunch Bible study at noon and Celebrate Recovery from 7 to 9 p.m., preceded by a free meal at 6:45. Homebound members receive fellowship, Communion, and conversation on the first Tuesday of each month. These church-run ministries sit alongside a broad calendar of independent recovery and support groups that use Safe Harbor Hall.
The congregation's mission is to provide a safe harbor from life's storms with hearts anchored in God's love. Its vision joins love of God and neighbor with worship, prayer, equipping members, compassion, and sharing the Gospel. Community groups hosted onsite include daily or weekly Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, Al-Anon, Narcotics Anonymous, and gender-specific gatherings, while volunteers also deliver meals to older residents in Safety Harbor, Oldsmar, and East Clearwater. A first-time worshiper has one Sunday hour and a remote option. People seeking recovery support should carefully match the program, day, audience, and room: Celebrate Recovery is a church ministry on Wednesday, while the other groups publish their own recurring schedules in the shared facility.
