Blessed Trinity Roman Catholic Church

About this church

Blessed Trinity Roman Catholic Church celebrates a 4 p.m. Saturday Vigil and Sunday Mass at 8, 9:30, and 11:30 a.m. at 1600 54th Avenue South in St. Petersburg. The Saturday liturgy is livestreamed and remains available on demand. Weekday Mass is at 8 a.m. Monday through Friday, while Reconciliation is offered from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday or by appointment. The online archive contains recent dated Masses, allowing prospective visitors to see the parish's current liturgical life before attending.

The parish grounds worship and ministry in liturgy while emphasizing formation, diversity, communication, recognition, welcome, and outreach. Blessed Trinity began as the South St. Petersburg Mission on December 20, 1959, when 312 people attended its first Mass at the Al Kareem Club. Archbishop Hurley named the mission Blessed Trinity in January 1960 and canonically established the parish the following month. Its first church opened in 1961 and later became the social hall when the present church was completed in 1976; that hall sheltered refugees during Hurricane Elena in 1985, when the newer church lost its roof. The stable weekend schedule offers four Mass choices, with the livestream adding a fifth point of access. Office hours and direct contact details are published for sacramental or accessibility questions that need an answer before arrival.
