About this church
Higher Purpose Pentecostal Church begins its Sunday service at 11 a.m.; Wednesday worship follows at 7 p.m. at 4279 Southeast Federal Highway in Stuart. Services are described as worship-filled and Spirit-led, with biblical preaching intended to change lives rather than entertain. Guests may dress casually and receive a smile and information packet on arrival; anyone who schedules a visit in advance can have a named packet prepared. Spanish-language worship is offered at 2 p.m. on the third Sunday of each month.
Children ages four through eleven join interactive games, group activities, and biblical teaching during Sunday worship, while teenagers ages twelve through eighteen have their own teaching during Wednesday service. A twenty-minute Discover Purpose class follows Sunday worship for new members and questions. Prayer meets at 7 p.m. Monday, and the prayer room opens thirty minutes before every service; men's and women's fellowships add periodic gatherings. The church began in 2011 as the Apostolic Church of Stuart in a Quality Inn conference room and became Higher Purpose under Aaron Meehan, a minister licensed with the United Pentecostal Church International. Its mission helps people answer questions of identity and direction through Christ. A newcomer can choose English or monthly Spanish worship, place children in the age-appropriate setting, and use the short post-service class for a low-pressure introduction to the church.
