First Presbyterian Church of Winter Haven

About this church

First Presbyterian Church of Winter Haven currently displays a summer single-service schedule of 9:30 a.m. in the sanctuary. Its regular worship page separately describes an 8 a.m. traditional chapel service and a 10 a.m. blended sanctuary service, so visitors should confirm which schedule is active before traveling. The chapel hour is usually under sixty minutes, has no livestream or childcare, and includes hymns, prayer, a sermon, and a message for younger disciples. The 10 a.m. service is streamed, provides childcare, and sends children to Sunday School at 10:15 after their worship message.

Established in 1886, this Presbyterian Church (USA) congregation exists to show God's kingdom to the world and connect people with purpose through discipleship. Its community includes nearly one thousand people across children, middle- and high-school students, and adults, with ministries in education, music, scouting, local and global missions, fellowship, and family life. Regular sanctuary worship blends hymns and praise music with combinations of choir, handbells, organ, piano, soloists, and band. The seasonal 9:30 banner takes precedence for a current first visit, but the site does not state its ending date. Families needing childcare or Sunday School should ask whether those programs accompany the summer hour before arrival.
