About this church

The Catholic Center at UGA is a Roman Catholic Eucharistic community serving University of Georgia students and the wider Athens area. More than seventy years of ministry have created a multigenerational setting for Mass, confession, Adoration, religious education, FOCUS Bible studies, student leadership, permanent members, young adults, alumni, service, and Franciscan spirituality. Its mission is to live the Gospel together through the Catholic Church.

Sunday Mass begins at 8:00, 10:30 a.m., 12:30, and 5:00 p.m.; 10:30 streams live. Mass is Monday through Thursday at 5:30 p.m. Friday has a 5:30 Communion Service, and Saturday Vigil Mass is 5:00 except on UGA home-game days. Confession is Monday and Wednesday 4:00–5:00 in the office, Tuesday 4:00–5:00 in the chapel, and Saturday 3:30–4:30 except home-game Saturdays. Adoration hours vary by weekday. Ignite brings first-year students together Wednesday 8:00–9:30 p.m. for food, speakers, and groups. Seeking Water and Ablaze alternate Tuesdays at 8:00; Sunday student dinner begins at 6:00.
