Riverbend Church of Christ

About this church

Riverbend Church of Christ in Dalton offers Sunday Bible classes at 9:30 a.m., morning worship at 10:30, and evening worship at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday Bible classes begin at 7:00. On the last Sunday evening of each month, the service places added emphasis on congregational singing. The regular sequence lets visitors choose a class, worship service, or both; anyone especially interested in the monthly singing service should confirm its date on the church calendar.

The congregation looks to the New Testament as its pattern for faith and church life. Its education ministry states a direct goal of helping people get to heaven and provides Bible learning for all ages. Children and teenagers can also participate in Lads to Leaders, which develops service, Scripture knowledge, communication, and leadership skills. Lectureships and an online resource library extend study beyond weekly classes. This may appeal to people seeking a Church of Christ congregation with multiple teaching hours and an intentionally simple biblical identity. A first-time guest can expect Bible classes followed by worship on Sunday morning, with additional evening opportunities for worship and study throughout the week.
