Holy Trinity Parish

About this church

Holy Trinity Parish is an Episcopal congregation in downtown Decatur, at East Ponce de Leon Avenue and Sycamore Place. Sunday Holy Eucharist is offered at 8 a.m. in the second-floor chapel using Rite I and at 10:30 a.m. in the nave using Rite II; the later service is also streamed on YouTube. A Wednesday healing service meets at 11 a.m. Visitors can enter through any of the parish's red doors, and the Sycamore Place entrance leads to Tisdale Hall, where coffee, doughnuts, and fellowship take place between Sunday services.

The parish summarizes its mission as opening hearts to God and doors to community. Its formation menu includes children's and youth programs, young adults, adult classes, small groups, Bible study, prayer practices, and occasional speakers. Younger children can use the nursery, with a toddler community for ages fifteen through thirty-five months beginning after 7:55 a.m.; families should check the current class sequence when planning a morning. Adults who want an introduction to Holy Trinity and the wider Episcopal and Anglican traditions can look for the periodic newcomers class. Outreach is treated as an expression of worship beyond the church building. For a first visit, choose between the quieter Rite I chapel service and the larger Rite II service, then use the online welcome card if you would like clergy or ministry follow-up.
