Central Christian Church

About this church

Central Christian Church is a Bourbonnais congregation of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) worshiping at the Grow Center. It describes itself as progressive and welcoming, pairing a traditional foundation with relevant preaching and community engagement. The Grow Center extends that purpose by providing space for connection, learning, and neighborhood activity, so the church’s public presence is not limited to the hours of its twice-monthly worship service.

The current homepage and Sunday Worship page list worship on the second and fourth Sundays at 10:00 a.m., in person and online, with a service lasting about one hour. An older What’s Happening page still says every Sunday at 10:30; because the two current pages agree on the twice-monthly 10:00 pattern, that newer schedule should take precedence. Visitors should nevertheless confirm the calendar before traveling, especially in months when a holiday or fifth Sunday could affect the rhythm. The About page explains the congregation’s Disciples identity and inclusive outlook, and recorded sermons allow people to preview the teaching. Since the Grow Center hosts activities beyond worship, guests should verify that an event listing belongs to Central Christian Church rather than assuming the building’s full calendar is a church-service schedule.
