Savoy United Methodist Church

About this church

Savoy United Methodist Church in Champaign gathers for Sunday worship at 9:30 a.m. The service is also available online, giving newcomers a way to experience current worship before entering the building. Holy Communion is celebrated monthly, and everyone is invited to receive. The detailed visitor page acknowledges that walking into an unfamiliar church can feel uncomfortable and explains the Sunday routine in advance so guests can arrive with fewer unknowns.

The congregation's mission is to journey with Jesus in order to become like Jesus. It expresses that purpose through compassionate service, worship, community, and spiritual growth. Ministry and mission partnerships extend the church's reach into campus discipleship, local care, and wider Christian outreach. Staff experience includes high-school campus ministry, overseas missions, and local church leadership, while regular office hours make it possible to speak with the team during the week. Visitors can come directly to the 9:30 service, watch online first, or contact the church about ministry groups and mission opportunities. Monthly open Communion offers a visible expression of the congregation's invitation to share in worship and grace.
