St. Jude Catholic Church

About this church

St. Jude Catholic Church celebrates Mass at 5 p.m. Saturday and 7, 9, and 11 a.m. Sunday at 241 West Second Avenue in New Lenox. Weekday Mass is offered at 7:30 a.m. Monday through Friday. Reconciliation is available Saturday from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. The parish also publishes devotions, holy-day liturgies, and occasional schedule changes, so its current Mass page should be checked when a visit falls near a feast or civil holiday.

St. Jude is served by Augustinian priests and describes parish life through worship, community, education, and service. Faith formation includes sacramental preparation, religious education, youth formation, and adult opportunities for people entering the Catholic Church or deepening an established faith. Parish ministries invite participation in liturgy, music, prayer, hospitality, care for people who are homebound or grieving, charitable outreach, and fellowship. An online Mass page gives prospective visitors and parishioners another way to follow worship when they cannot be present. With four weekend choices, the parish accommodates early risers, families, and people who prefer a Saturday Vigil. Someone seeking Reconciliation can arrive before the Saturday Mass, while a first-time Sunday visitor can select among three morning hours and review the ministry schedule for any additional parish activity that day.
