Berean Baptist Church

About this church

Berean Baptist Church in Rockford keeps a full weekly schedule, starting Sunday with Sunday school at 10 a.m. and a morning worship service at 11 a.m., followed by an evening service at 6 p.m. The congregation meets again on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. The Baptist church places preaching at the center of its services, with Christ-centered messages intended to encourage and strengthen listeners, alongside praise and worship. The church describes itself as family-oriented and focused on reaching the surrounding community. Service times can change, so confirm them on the website before visiting.

Ministries serve several age groups. Children's ministries aim to teach and train younger generations, adult Sunday school classes focus on building faith and knowledge of biblical principles, and a nursery cares for young children during services. A bus ministry supports the church's outreach, and a soul-winning group heads out on Saturday mornings at 9:30 a.m. The church also runs Berean Baptist Christian School, a K-12 Christian school that has operated for more than four decades. People who cannot attend in person can watch services through the church's Facebook live stream. The church is located on Safford Road, and questions can go to the church office by phone or email.
