Beth Eden United Methodist Church

About this church

Beth Eden United Methodist Church is an open and loving Protestant community in Rockford, Illinois, serving the city since 1950. Sunday worship follows a traditional flow of liturgy, Scripture, prayer, preaching, music, and a dedicated children’s time. Education is intentionally placed before worship so children, youth, and adults can all attend class and then gather together in the sanctuary. Children are integrated into the larger church rather than confined to separate programs, with an emphasis on learning to love, serve, and participate. Youth preparing for confirmation join a September-to-May program shared with Aldersgate United Methodist Church, meeting twice monthly on alternating campuses with a pastor, peers, and an adult mentor.

Sunday School for every age begins at 9:00 a.m., followed by worship at 10:00 in person and online. The church is at 3201 Huffman Boulevard. Confirmation families should verify which campus hosts each session because the joint program rotates and older text on the site references a prior program year. Beth Eden also offers adult ministries and evolving youth opportunities such as retreats, mission trips, and special events. Visitors can expect one common traditional service, a full education hour immediately beforehand, and a congregation where children come forward for a short message and blessing during worship.
