Trinity Lutheran Church

About this church

Trinity Lutheran Church in Urbana offers two distinct weekend services. Saturday worship begins at 5:30 p.m. with an informal liturgical format, while Sunday at 9 a.m. follows a traditional Lutheran liturgy and is livestreamed on YouTube. An adult Bible class starts at 10:15 after the Sunday service. This arrangement gives visitors a choice between a smaller, relaxed Saturday setting and a more traditional Sunday gathering without losing the liturgical shape of worship.

Trinity also houses Wee Disciples Preschool, a Bible-centered early-learning program for children beginning at age three. Its daily rhythm includes welcome activities, music, calendar and weather learning, art and fine-motor projects, Bible stories, verses, prayer, snacks, and outdoor or indoor large-motor play. Children must be toilet independent, and enrollment requires the health examination and immunizations prescribed by Illinois law. The preschool states that it admits children without regard to race, color, or national or ethnic origin. The church website does not clearly explain nursery care during worship, school-age Sunday education, Communion participation, dress, parking, or accessibility. Families visiting worship rather than the weekday preschool should ask the office which entrance to use and what child programming is currently available.
