Columbus Baptist Church

About this church

Columbus Baptist Church is an Indiana congregation that describes the church as a spiritual family where people grow through love, encouragement, shared burdens, and service. Bible doctrine shapes its preaching and mission, while evangelism is treated as the responsibility of every believer. Practical ministries include transportation for children, teenagers, adults, and seniors who need a ride; a school-year children's program; and Food for the Family, which provides a free hot meal and groceries to neighbors experiencing food insecurity. Missions also reach beyond Columbus, including support connected with Ukraine.

Sunday School for adults and children begins at 9:30 a.m., morning worship at 10:30, and evening worship at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday midweek service also begins at 6:30. Jesus and Me serves ages four through sixth grade Wednesday from 6:30 to 7:45 during the Bartholomew County school year, August through May. Food for the Family opens from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. on the fourth Friday of each month from January through October. The bus ministry requires advance contact to arrange pickup or learn the route rather than functioning as an on-demand shuttle at service time. Families should also distinguish the children’s later 7:45 finish from the generic 6:30 midweek start.
