East Columbus United Methodist Church

About this church

East Columbus United Methodist Church is a Columbus congregation seeking to grow God’s family by making disciples of Jesus and serving neighbors compassionately. Blended worship, children, child care, music, refreshments, local and global missions, free community meals, outreach, and accessibility features connect its historic Christian message with current community needs. The congregation intentionally combines older and newer forms rather than choosing one musical style.

Sunday worship begins at 9:00 a.m. Hymns may use books or song sheets, while newer lyrics are projected; the blended service includes multiple musical styles. After a children’s time with the pastor, children may leave for Children’s Church during the remainder of worship. Child care is also available, although the public page does not publish ages or check-in procedures. Accessibility provisions include optional hearing devices, an elevator, a ramp, and reserved parking spaces. Annual Vacation Bible School is open to children age three through those who have completed sixth grade, including families outside the congregation, with dates announced in spring. Grace’s Table and other free meals use dated announcements rather than a permanent weekly hour. Public pages do not state customary dress, service length, Communion frequency, livestream availability, or secure child-release procedures.
