About this church

St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Columbus, Indiana, is a Roman Catholic parish with a weekend schedule of a Saturday 5 p.m. vigil Mass and Sunday Masses at 8 a.m., 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., the last celebrated in Spanish. Weekday Masses are listed for Tuesday evening (preceded by Evening Prayer), Wednesday and Friday at noon, and Thursday evening in Spanish. Confession is offered Saturday afternoon before the vigil Mass and Sunday from noon to 1 p.m., and Eucharistic adoration takes place Friday evenings, with extended hours on first Fridays. Children's Liturgy of the Word is offered at most Sunday Masses for kindergarten through fourth grade, and children's faith formation includes classes for young children plus Spanish-language catechism through sixth grade. Middle and high school students have a youth ministry with confirmation preparation, and adults can explore the faith through OCIA, small church communities and a women's group that meets every other Monday evening. Outreach ministries include St. Vincent de Paul, a Sunday community hot meal, prison ministry, a twin-parish relationship with a parish in Haiti, and a Knights of Columbus council. The parish also runs St. Bartholomew Catholic School for grades K-8. Newcomers can pick up a registration packet, and recorded Masses are posted on the parish's YouTube channel.
