First Baptist Church

About this church

First Baptist Church of Greensburg is a Baptist congregation in downtown Greensburg, Indiana, established in 1841. Its mission is expressed through sharing the good news of Jesus, strengthening families, and loving and serving the community. The congregation includes a broad range of ages and backgrounds and offers Sunday worship, education, children’s ministry, youth, support groups, and weekday Bible studies. Nursery care serves infants through age three, while preschoolers, elementary children, and teenagers have separate Sunday School settings. A secure check-in process operates on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. The church’s current calendar also includes DivorceCare, a free group for people rebuilding life during or after separation and divorce.

Sunday worship meets from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. in person and online. Sunday School begins at 10:15, and nursery care runs from 8:45 until 11:00, spanning both periods. School-year Bible study classes meet Wednesday nights, while FBC Youth gathers on Sunday evenings; families should confirm current evening times through the ministry calendar. The church is located at 209 West Washington Street. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to noon and 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. A first visit combines an early worship service with an immediately following education hour and clearly published child-safety procedures.
